Dr. Josh Binstock Qualifies For 2016 Rio Olympics
Natural Stacks Champion Dr. Josh Binstock can now call himself a 2-time Olympic Athlete!
Congratulations to Josh and his beach volleyball teammate, Sam Schachter, who finished a successful 2016 qualifying run with a dramatic playoff victory that clinched a spot for Canada in the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics.
Chiropractor Becomes 2-time Olympian
Dr. Josh Binstock is more than just brawns and athletic ability.
When he's not playing beach volleyball at the highest level, Dr. Binstock is a chiropractor who specializes in the scientific theory and the athlete’s practical application of movement, recovery, and performance. His Toronto-based practice is Total Health and Wellness.
Dr. Binstock's affinity for optimal health and performance made the partnership with Natural Stacks a perfect fit. We're proud to have him onboard as a Champion.
A few months ago, we caught up with Josh for a fan-favorite episode #30 of the Optimal Performance Podcast where he shared his strategies for training, supplementation, traveling, and using visualization as a tool for success and creating the future you want.
At the time of the podcast Josh and teammate Sam Schachter were just kicking off their qualifying run for the 2016 Olympics.
It looks like their training and visualization practices have paid off.
During their successful qualification run this spring and summer the duo of Schachter and Binstock compiled 3 Top-5 finishes, including a second place finish at the FIVB (Federation International de Volleyball) Cincinnati Open.
The Rio Olympics will be Josh's second Olympic appearance. He led Team Canada to the 2012 London Olympics where and then teammate Martin Reader finished outside of medal contention.
As you watch the 2016 Summer Olympics and look for duo of Binstock & Schachter as they represent Team Canada on the world famous Copacabana beach in Rio De Janeiro.
We wish them the best of luck and hope to see them perform well and possibly bring home a medal for their native Canada.
